Secretary General

Milly Masamba, Secretary General of Heavenly Gift Initiative, is a dedicated professional educator with a strong background in humanitarian work, community leadership, social work and empowerment of underprivileged communities. As Secretary General, she oversees the daily operations and management of the organization. She reports to the Board of Directors/Trustees. Her passion lies in mentoring others and advocating against all forms of violence, inequalities, abuse and discrimination. With years of hands-on experience, Milly actively champions the rights of vulnerable individuals, including women and children. She envisions a world where safety, dignity, and equality prevail for all. Her unwavering commitment continues to inspire positive change in every community she serves.

Community Development and Relief Services Officer

Bakalyaghe Kennedy serves as the Community Development and Relief Services Officer at Heavenly Gift Initiative, reporting directly to the Secretary General. He brings extensive experience in community development programs, relief and charity services, as well as community education and empowerment initiatives. Kennedy brings hands-on experience in leading agricultural programs that strengthen community resilience and food security. He has actively supported poverty alleviation initiatives aimed at improving household incomes and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities. Through his work, he promotes practical solutions that uplift vulnerable groups and enhance community welfare. His dedication is rooted in a genuine concern for others, consistently working to improve living standards and expand opportunities for those in need.

Operations Supervisor/Coordinator – Western Uganda

Rebecca Asiimwe is a dedicated farmer, educator, social worker and serves as Operations Supervisor the Western Uganda region including the remotest communities in the region. She reports to the Secretary General. As a teacher in hard-to-reach areas, Rebecca brings hope through education and community empowerment. Passionate about equality and harmonious coexistence, she also serves as a development specialist at Heavenly Gift Initiative, where she champions the development of vulnerable communities and individuals. Her work blends resilience, compassion, and purpose, touching lives and transforming communities through education, agriculture, and social impact in Uganda’s most challenging environments.

Food Security Strategist

Mr. Filemon Maliba serves as the Food Security and Livelihoods Specialist, reporting to the Community Development and Relief Services Office and the Secretary General. He brings hands-on experience in working with rural farming communities, equipping households with practical skills to improve agricultural practices and increase yields. His work focuses on promoting sustainable, organic farming methods that strengthen food security while restoring dignity among vulnerable families. Through training, mentorship, and field support, Mr. Maliba has contributed to reducing hunger and enabling families to build more stable, self-reliant livelihoods across underserved communities.

Operations Supervisor/Coordinator – Central Uganda

Jackie Nziabake is a dedicated vocational trainer based in Central Uganda, where she oversees skills training programs for teenage mothers and school dropouts. She reports to the Secretary General. With years of hands-on experience, Jackie specializes in empowering young girls through practical education in trades that open doors to self-reliance. She is deeply passionate about mentorship and believes that every girl deserves the chance to shape her future. Her work continues to inspire hope and transformation in communities where opportunity is often limited.
